Clapping!!

This video is about a month old, however I get a kick out of it and thought it deserved a post. My taping skills are poor to say the least. This video came about because I had been watching Seth working on clapping for days, and he finally got it. At times his hands look like polar opposites on magnets, and his face is so focused. He is much better at clapping now, and does it all the time.

5 Happy Years!!

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this weekend (June 27th officially). I can't believe what changes 5 years can bring about. I feel so grown up!!! We spent our weekend on a nice trip to Santa Barbara. We took off at about 4:30 on Friday afternoon and checked into a hotel. Once we unloaded we headed for State Street and went to dinner. The weather was great, so we stayed and walked around downtown. Seth was a trooper as we drug him around late at night. The next morning we got up and went to a 100 year old tavern in the SB hills called Cold Spring Tavern, for some good breakfast. We have been there once before, early on in our marriage. It was fun to go back. Later in the day, we spent time riding bikes on the beach. Seth fell asleep in the back about 15 minutes into our ride. Several people laughed when they saw him slumpped down in the back with his head down and the helmet covering his eyes. On our way home I was able to quiz Brandon on his favorite parts of our five years and kept asking him "remember when..." questions. Once home again I looked at our wedding photos. We looked soooo young (and tan:). I have to say, I am married to one fun guy who is always happy, and always makes me happy.

Scorcher

We went to the Wild Animal Park for the first time with some friends who live in Poway. We had a blast visiting them and their two adorable little boys Harri and Lincoln. It was an awesome place with a ton to see. You can walk and wind your way through the park and see condors, tigers, lions...etc. Once particular scene by the tram ride looked right out of a picture of the African plains. Did I mention that it was 113 degrees!!! Oh yes, we were all panting and sweating. I don't remember the last time I was so hot. When we pulled up at 10:30 it was already 98 degrees. Crazy! Seth's face was all rosy. Lincoln's cheeks were on fire. Considering the heat, the kids did great. It was Anna and I who needed a break and had to sit down and cool off after a while. We had a blast and will have to do it again sometime. Maybe next time we need to go during a storm...in keeping with the extreme weather theme.

Slap happy!!

Sometimes Seth gets in these giggly moods. It is usually in the late evening, and he just can't stop laughing. Sometimes he laughs so hard he screams in between roars. This video was taken after Seth started laughing and laughed all the peas out of his mouth. Kind of gross, I know! Sorry about the poor video quality...it was taken by the video function on my camera.

Silly Seth Pictures

Seth knows what a camera is. He totally smiles when he sees it and holds his pose. That tells you how many pics this guys has taken:). Here are some funny ones that make me laugh. My favorite is him on his knees looking in his toy box. He does this every morning...crawls over to the toy box, looks in and pulls out toys he wants to play with. I can't believe how smart he is...and quick too. He will sometimes follow me around the house like my puppy. If I am in another room I hear the pit pat pit pat of his hands and knees, then I eventually see his face peep around the corner and he smiles when he finds me.

Congratulations Rand!!!

It was really windy!!
Shae, Rand, me, Krist

My baby brother just graduated Dixon High School!!! He is the last one at home. He is now off to play football for Solano next school year. I am so proud of him and who he has become. He has been an example too all, especially the other kids in his class. He is a good brother and uncle to Seth!

Two Babies

It is so fun that Seth has baby friends to "play" with. I got to watch Paige the other day (she was such a good girl) and the two are hilarious to watch together. They binkie swap all the time. They definatly recognize eachother and Seth will follow her around now that he can crawl (she is a ton faster). He always watches to see what she does.

Disneyland

We renewed our Disneyland passes a few weeks ago. Since then, we have been 3 times (soon to be 4). It is really fun to live in SoCal sometimes. I only say this when I am not in traffic! We went to Disneyland with my Dad to see Megan in the parade. Later we went with Brandon's brother and family. We did the parent pass thing so our niece Bekka and nephew, Kyle, got to ride twice as we swapped babies. Most recently a bunch of girlfirends went by ourselves. Many of us took our babies. The mother's room (childcare room) is awesome, and was well used. If anyone has passes, we are always game to go!

Who's watching those kids!! People stopped and stared as we took this picture:)
