Berry Pickin'

Saturday we were able to spend time together as a family at Riley's farm. I was giddy all day in anticipation of buying my 5 lb crumb crust homemade apple pie and picking berries. We arrived and Seth got his first tractor ride. He is now obsessed with "tracas." The tractor took us to a raspberry field where we filled our baskets (and mouths) with berries.

Brandon was a dedicated harvester of berries and was the first to fill his basket.

Seth didn't even put one berry in the basket. They all went straight from the plant to the mouth. He was in his own world eating berries....yes, we paid for that later:)

Later we moved on to the Strawberry patch. Brandon found the biggest ones...and Seth, once again ate the most!

That evening we had a BBQ and live music. Seth got his grove while we relaxed. It was one of the most enjoyable days. We for sure are going back in the fall for pumpkins and apples:) I will be waiting for my carmel apple impatiently, until October!
