This is Tee Ball!!! Warms ups can be dangerous when the kids stand too close when they attempt to play catch. When a ball is hit all the kids swarm the ball, and end up in a dog pile scrambling to be the one to throw it to first. Never mind that the longer they wrestle for that ball the more bases the batter can run, (although we have our occasional runner who will skip a base forgetting the order they are to run:) I catch myself cracking up at practices.

| I've learned the key to a successful practice: strap Emery up!! All she wants to do it go on the field with the kids or go up to bat which makes it hard for me to help Seth when he needs it. Poor thing! She wants to play so badly! |

I would say that Seth is an introvert and tends to be quiet in most situations. He takes a while to warm up to people, and sometimes even his best of friends. Two of his best friends signed up for Tee Ball this year and he wanted to follow suit. Brandon and I were uncertain how it would be for him, given his tendency to by so shy, but felt that it could provide a great experience. So far it has been wonderful for him and I think he enjoys being with his friends Noah and Caleb. I am so proud of him for stretching himself beyond his comfort zone (even at this young age). He started off very unsure of himself, and I have noticed how much more confident he is while with his teammates. I am happy this has been a good experience for him so far. It could have gone either way!

I'm happy that Seth is having such a great time...I'm even happier (or, rather, relieved) to know that other parents worry about their well adjusted children in social situations, too! Thanks for the great post!:)
how fun!
