Something to Aim for

I'm hoping that by blogging my goals, I will feel more accountable to reach them.  I'm the kind of person who has to write everything down of importance or it will go to the wayside.  Being a stay at home mom has been a catalyst to my ability to put things off until tomorrow.  There are not as many deadlines as when I was working (I am grateful for that, don't get me wrong,  I'm loving my job staying at home and teaching Seth).   Some of the things I want to work on are:  read more during Seth's nap, put something away as we use it in order to make my housekeeping skills more efficient.   Work out 4 days a week.  Be more thoughtful to others. Only eat one dessert a week (that does not include chocolate milk:).  Laugh out loud more.  I frequently find things funny, but I don't show it.  I want Seth to see me laugh.  Finally, I want to give meaningful compliments more freely.

On a completely different subject, I have been feeling very grateful to have so many great women and mothers around me on a DAILY basis!  I don't live right next to my mom, nor do I have siblings with children YET to talk to about certain issues.  I learn from everyone around me how to parent, and even just care for the basic needs of my family.   It is nice to share ideas and watch what other mother's are doing with their kids and spouses.  I think I owe part of Seth's successful 19 months of life to you all!  I have been blessed with so many fun loving and happy friends down here.

You are a great mom. I wish we all lived closer, it would be fun to do more of it together.
